Synchronicity

What it is

An essay on meaningful coincidences between an inner state and an outer event.

Method

It's not that the number or the sign causes the event; it's that your inner state and the symbol meet at the same moment. Reading well means recognizing that meeting.

Molino's review

Jung proposes 'synchronicity' as an acausal principle. It's the framework that explains why a symbolic reading 'hits home' without being causal: the symbol and the experience coincide.
