What it is

A Neoplatonic treatise on the 'theories' or symbolic properties attributed to each number from 1 to 10.

Method

It assigns each number from 1 to 10 attributes inherited from the Pythagorean and Platonic tradition, fixing the 'meaning' of each digit that modern numerology keeps.

Molino's review

Iamblichus consolidated the theological reading of numbers: each figure from 1 to 10 carries a moral and cosmological meaning. It's the link between Pythagoras and medieval numerology.
